is Southwall Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:SWTX), a global developer, manufacturer

went public in June 1987 and completed a follow-on offering in July
2002, generating net proceeds of approximately $16 million. The company

October 2002 – Demer IR recently added Sagent
Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:SGNT) to its roster of outsourcing clients.
Sagent (www.sagent.com)
is a leading provider of enterprise business intelligence solutions
whose stock has traded publicly for three-and-a-half years. The company
is now using Demer IR for editorial, disclosure and distribution services
related to quarterly reporting of financial results and other material
business news, as well as ongoing IR program support. Demer IR had also
produced a sell-side due diligence report for Sagent’s selection
of underwriters prior to its initial public offering in April 1999.

October 2002 — IR Staffing Solutions™,

at Applied Imaging Corp. (Nasdaq:AICX). Applied Imaging (www.aicorp.com)
is the leading supplier of automated imaging systems utilized in genetics

June 2002 – IR Staffing Solutions™, the

investor relations professionals, has successfully concluded an 11-month
engagement at VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS). VERITAS, the
leader in data availability software solutions, is one of the 10 largest
software companies in the world and a member of the Nasdaq 100 Index

was a full-service client of Demer IR from 1996 to 2000 and a ‘beta
client’ of IR Staffing Solutions, which deployed an on-site resource

June 2002 – IR Staffing Solutions™, the
first temporary staffing service for public companies in need of on-site
investor relations professionals, recently staffed its first two engagements
since its launch in March of this year. Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
(NYSE:CDN), the largest supplier of electronic design technologies,
methodology services, and design services, is using IR Staffing Solutions
to cover a maternity leave on its in-house IR staff (www.cadence.com).
Macromedia, Inc. (Nasdaq:MACR), a leading provider of software that
empowers developers and designers to efficiently create effective user
experiences on the Internet, is temporarily filling the role of IR director

March 2002 – At the NIRI Silicon Valley 2002
Annual Spring Conference on March 20, Demer IR launched IR Staffing
Solutions™, the first temporary staffing service for public companies
in need of on-site investor relations professionals. This new division
of Demer IR provides ‘plug-and-play’ temps with IR skills and experience
to cover corporate staffing interruptions such as sabbaticals, leaves
of absence and sudden resignations, as well as special events and projects
requiring additional resources. Since August 2001, Demer IR has delivered
continuous on-site support to VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS),
the eighth largest software company in North America (see here).
Demer IR Extends Outreach Services to Private
Company Financing
February 2002 – Demer IR recently completed a
stealth project for a privately held networking infrastructure systems
company seeking later-stage equity financing of up to $40 million. Using
its proprietary database as a targeting tool, Demer IR expanded and
updated in real time the company’s internal list of venture capital
contacts. The firm then called selected targets in the San Francisco,
New York and Boston metropolitan areas to assess their interest, provide
additional information and schedule meetings with management. Following
some 25 such meetings in the space of two weeks, Demer IR conducted
interviews with participants to source intelligence on the company’s
investment thesis and prospects in the current market.
